Where We Go by ~shadowgirl The suggester writes: "The use of green colors here really bring out a different perspective to the meaning 'earthy'. I like how the main figure is a part of the roots. A brilliant job painting the leaves and general foliage as well. The concept behind it only makes this piece all the more fascinating to mull over and admire; something I'd probably expect from a fairy tale. Really magical, wonderful stuff!" This is incredible. I am utterly in love with your style. I could stare at this for hours. It's mesmerising. I wish I could paint like you! Your detail is wonderful yet you leave enough suggestion for the viewer to imagine the rest. Really spellbinding.

I have always marveled at how some people can master the unforgiving tool of watercolors, and this is no less incredible! The idea is quite nice as well as the little rhyme in your comment.

I love the way you used different shades of light green to make the main focus on the tree. Did you use water colors to make this??

A mix of watercolor, acrylic and gouache, but a LOT of water and layers :)

It's a mix of waterbased paints (acrylic and gouache as well as watercolor) lots and lots of water, so it's a build up of transparencies.
