I always liked orange and purple together, I think they play off each other well. Your characters have such interesting shapes and movement, they intertwine with your vivid colors, making your images flow smoothly.
This could be a very dumb idea, but if you wanted, maybe you could add to the feel of her royal highness, as she strolls through her checkered courtyard, by making some pawns, rooks, bishops, etc. bowing and quivering at her feet. Maybe even make the pieces be from both colors to show just how powerful the lady queen is. If you do use this idea, let me know.
i am always so wonderin the young imaginations of my grandma.
what did she felt, what was her position and who was her also.
i think i have found the key image.
"red queen" is my "lost times of my grandma that i can't know who she was"
You and your craaaaazy style. Looks cool, as usual!
I must say...I'm not sure how I feel about the dress and how it relates with the checkerboard underneath, as it seems like the flattest part of the pic.
As for the background, I think some towering mountains or palaces would be neat...especially if they're barely visible through the clouds.
I like it this way... Maybe would you see some object at the left... could be place more or less far... I'd see such an object... something abstract maybe with shapes similar to the cane the character's holding (maybe something that recalls those old coat hooks?). This is getting a beautiful and awesome piece.
