Ever get that feeling you're being ...watched?

~~~
Friend of mine and I were talking about what I should draw (I was drawing one of the tree ladies I recently added) and he was like "So... draw a bush."
I, of course, took it the wrong way (hello gutter mind), but he kept assuring me he meant "no! Like shrubbery, in a forest, peeking out from under a bush!"
Pencil, about 8x9in or so
Oh my :) Danke!
Uh... it's been in my head, rotting away until I can get it out and then it goes up on my wall or people's walls :)
That sounds like a very sufficient way to release you art.
I find, with enough rot, you can have just the right tinge and lovely decay for a perfect masterpiece.
I favorite your entire gallery in writing.
Love the idea for this, so simple an idea of a shrubbery, but you turn it into something fantastical!
Hehe. a LOT intimidating. I wouldn't want to see her sneaking out of the shrubbery after me.
Funny story: This instantly reminded me of one of my friends, not because she's a creepy-looking nature sprite or anything. We live right by Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida and she worked there for Howl-O-Scream [it's like Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios? Every weekend through October, the park stays open until the wee hours of the morning and it all turns into a huuuge scare-fest] in various jobs throughout the park.
I was her ride to and from work and I'd always ask, "How was your night at work?" when she got into the car. One night she very happily said, "I was a bush!" Apparently they had her dressed in camouflage and a lot of leaves with some loud cracker-popper noise maker thing that she had to slam on the ground to scare people. Knowing this girl makes the whole thing 10x funnier. She's very reserved and very quiet... and apparently enjoys being a bush.
This is a really good drawing. It's funny that someone else mentioned the umbilical cord because that's one of the first things that popped out at me and, oddly enough, I thought it looked like she's feeding herself through it.
