Top Pages - "3:30pm"
How I used to feel when seeing trees in the winter at 3:30pm, with the long slanted shadows. Like I should've known where they were from, why it was important to me, but I could never come up with a 'real' memory on why they would give me such a drawing feeling.

Bottom Pages - "To the Real World"
Growing up, I loved being around trees (...might explain the rest of my art!). I'd also often drift off into my own head, and get lost in my own world. Then I'd eventually have to return.

I love the mark making, quite elegant. The top two reminds us the time when we venture into the wild, discovering new things, being with nature on a sunny afternoon.

The bottom two is quite surreal in its own self, the composition and the two pages make up the invisible room where the two passage meet.

The bottom panel reminds me of the Secret Garden, which I loved and I used to pretend my backyard was my very own secret garden because we had this gate at the end of it and I'd take this cheesy plastic key and imagine I was locked up in my garden all alone. Haha. Lovely drawings though. They spark the imagination.
