A city in my stories.. The main 'temple' I suppose would be the best way to put what that blue castle thing is in the background (the bridges are for protection, where guards walk)

--photoshop/tablet.. roughly 30+ hours from start to finish.

OMG this is great! haven't read the stories, but i really like the drawing!
i think it'd be just a lil better if the buildings in the back had a lil more detail to em, but wow, nicely done!

A fabulous piece of work - it has a real feeling of depth and distance.

Just beautiful...this would make a wonderful cover illustration for a fantasy novel! ;) (Wink)

I like the muted tones you used, and the architecture is a cool mix of Italian, Spanish and Morrocan stuff (I think, anyway!). Very nice use of perspective too...has a Wizard of Oz walk to the Emerald City feel to it!

Awesome work! Love

slip : i really shouldnt at all. things in the distance loose detail because they get smaller and less distinct.

and the stories are mostly offline

The central area is the main focal point so the back is supposed to be out of focus. Good fantasy feeling and good perspective.....Good pallette also.
