I am assuming you all have a vague idea of the "Green Man" (usually seen as a leafy face and the rest of him hiding out in bushes)
Well, since it's earlier in the season, he's still just a li'l boy.

Watered down Acrylics. This is often asked, no I do not use traditional watercolors, I just work better with thicker paints that are watered down. :)

about 18in long, 7in high.

A wonderful concept of Green Man, or Green Boy is you say! I love how you did his body as I've never seen the Green Man's body! And the trees look amazing as well! So enchanting. :)

I always figured he had to be some sort of great big stag kind of guy (There's another of him here but older: [link] ) :)

It's a beautiful scene, and I love your depiction of the Green Man! So peaceful and calm.

Also, I'm wondering how you get the acrylics so smooth? I've tried using them watered down, but they turn out really streaky.

well, how watered down are they? This is an older piece, so my memory's pretty shot, but I still play with acrylics in a lot of water. It's a layering thing, really, perhaps even the brand of acrylics you use comes into play?... now a days I mix up watercolors first, then paint on top. Like the one I just added today (distance) is all acrylic mixed with a bit of water.
